Privacy Policy
How SuperCom Ltd. handles personal information on this website, mainly when you request a demo or write to us, and the choices and rights you have.
Last updated: SuperCom Ltd.
Who we are
This website presents SafeGenie, a SuperCom product built on technology from Safend, SuperCom’s cybersecurity subsidiary. The website is operated by SuperCom Ltd., a company incorporated in Israel, at 3 Rothschild Blvd., Tel Aviv 6688106, Israel (“SuperCom,” “we” or “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
For questions about this policy or your personal information, write to general@supercom.com.
This policy covers this website only. It does not cover the SafeGenie product itself, which is provided under separate agreements and documentation.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site and answer you:
- Demo requests: your full name, work email, company, role and, if you choose, a message.
- Messages you send us by email, and our replies.
- Technical information that our hosting and network providers process automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, the date and time, and error information. It is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
- Visit statistics: for each page you open, the page, the date and time, the website or campaign that sent you, your device type and browser, and your approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address. We do not store your IP address and do not use cookies for this (see “Cookies and similar technologies”).
We do not ask for sensitive information, and we ask you not to include it in your message.
How demo requests are handled
When you submit the demo form, your details are saved in the website’s own database on our server, together with the date and the country your request came from. Only authorized members of the SafeGenie team at SuperCom and Safend can see them, in a password-protected area of the site, so they can contact you about your request. We may also email your request to that team. The website does not add you to a mailing list or a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
When requests are emailed, our email and network service providers handle the message in transit and may keep delivery logs, and the message stays in our team’s mailbox and its backups for as long as described under “How long we keep it”.
General questions, privacy requests and accessibility feedback go to general@supercom.com.
Why we use it and our legal bases
We use personal information for the following purposes. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, the legal basis is shown for each.
- To respond to your demo request or message and, if you wish, arrange a conversation: steps taken at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the site, including preventing spam and abuse of the form: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.
- To understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, which pages they read, how they found it and which countries they come from, so we can improve it: our legitimate interest in running and improving our website.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims: legal obligation and our legitimate interests.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.
International transfers
SuperCom is based in Israel, and our service providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. The European Commission and the United Kingdom recognize Israel as providing an adequate level of data protection.
Where information is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to a country without such recognition, we rely on an appropriate safeguard, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the recipient’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, as applicable. You can ask us for more information.
How long we keep it
We keep demo requests and related correspondence only for as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage any resulting business relationship, and then delete them in line with our internal retention practices, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. If you ask us to delete your request, we remove it from the website’s database.
Visit statistics are kept for 13 months and then deleted automatically.
Technical logs kept by our hosting and network providers are kept for limited periods set by those providers for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. To use them, write to general@supercom.com. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows.
- Israel: under the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, you may ask to review the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date.
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom: access, correction, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection to processing based on our legitimate interests. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
- Other places: you may have similar rights under local law, for example to know, access, correct or delete your personal information.
We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), input checks and abuse limits on the form, and an admin area that only authorized staff can sign in to. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Other websites
The site links to other websites, such as those of SuperCom, Safend and the publishers of statistics we cite. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Children
This site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, if the changes are significant, give more prominent notice.
